Team Ukraine will not compete at the WESG World Finals, Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk has confirmed.
The Ukrainian team's attendance at the event had been in doubt after star player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev revealed on Friday evening that he would not be able to travel to China due to "personal issues".
On Twitter, Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk stressed that the team "fought until the end" to make it to the WESG Finals, and apologised to the fans.
The news is a bitter pill for bondik to swallow, with the HellRaisers player having also missed the ELEAGUE Major earlier in the year while on loan with TYLOO due to Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand's visa issues.
Ukraine qualified for the WESG World Finals after winning the European & CIS Regional Finals, which were held in Barcelona. They were due to face Bravado, Envy and Viva Algeria in the group stage of the Chinese event, which will kick off on Tuesday.
Unfortunately we are unable to compete in China.
